Mission to Mars - 06: Mars Habitat Project

OPENING QUESTION: Why is it that NASA hasn't *quite* managed to provide a "MARS SUIT" for allowing humans to work safely on the surface of Mars?

LEARNING GOAL: I will work on my final Mars Project during today's class

WORK O' THE DAY

═══════════════════════════

There will be 3 parts to your final Mars Project packet:

1) A MOST impressive version of your Mind Map

Best Mind Maps will include:

Clearly labeled, accurate interactions between your group's specific Node and the other 4 specific critical areas

Clearly labeled, accurate interactions between those other 4 specific areas and each other

2) Your Room Habitat Drawing (not a sketch!)

3) A well crafted, thoughtful analysis of the relationship between your group's main NODE and some other critical system:

Do research on just ONE of those connections between Shelter and something else. In this case, the Shelter is your room. That means to explore the connection between YOUR room and one other node. In particular you should:

  • Determine how much of that material you need to survive every day
  • Explore WHERE that much material comes from there on Mars
  • Please be thoughtful in your responses
